It was clean close to the beach and close to all the stores.
it needs some tlc
Easy to get inot and out of. Good location for most things.
On our third night someone tried to break in to our room two different times while we were there. We left to come home a night early because of this.
Didn't like much. I was totally disappointed with this place. The only good thing was that it was across the street from the beach.
I was totally disappointed with this hotel. The outside is very cute but it ends there. It reminded me of rent by the hour motel. The walls were dirty and towels felt like sandpaper. You had to go to the pizza parlor next door to get ice. No ice machine. Old TVs in the hallway. No remote control for tv in room. I should have gone for the Super 8 motel across the street. Very disappointed! Over charged and not happy. Would have checked out but were only there for two nights.
Freindly and good priced
Door stuck, frig did'nt work good, and they ran the yogurt shop next door whice had bad cutomer service.we was 2nd customers to order and pay and was last to get survered out of 18 people.by then our drinks was watered down and we just threw the food away.they would not give us a refund.would not eat there again!
It was close to the beach and most attractions that I desired to visit.
It was not american owned and the rooms were very small and were not portrayed on the inernet as the same rooms. The rooms or rather the suite that I thought I had booked did not belong to the El Dorado. If I had of known in advanced I would have stayed somewhere else.
It was overpriced for the quality of the facilities.Furniture was old and damaged, room looked dirty and bathroom was dirty.
It was a very nice hotel a family hotel it did have a very small kitchen but just perfect for me and my husband it had a great time it had a suana a hot tub an indoor and outdoor pool and directly across from the beach
They had a very nice indoor pool and Hot Tub. It was pet friendly and had a frozen yogurt shop adjacent to hotel.
The rooms were Very small and had antiquated furniture/tv. No premium channels or movie channels. No blow dryer, extra towels, or standard amenities. Extremely low shower head with hot water either scalding, or freezing alternately. No working vending machines and no working phone in room. Beds very uncomfortable and musty smelling. In window ac unit that poorly ventilated.
towels were the size of postage stamps and of poor quality. Some light bulbs in room didn't work. Lamp was broken. Rug needed to be replaced. room was not cleaned on one day by maid.
I liked that the owners are very nice and helpful. They are a family oriented hotel the ocean is very easy to get to. I am planning on returning to this place again next summer.
When we checked in as we were putting everything away I found a plate of rotten spaghetti in the oven. Other then that it was on
i liked the price and the rocking chairs to sit in and watch the people go by and the sub shop within the hotel
it was close to the beach. thats about it
The room was nothing like the picture that is shown on Booked.net The place wasnt well maintained. They did not send housekeeping in to clean up or even bring fesh towels. I had to ask for towels, each day I was there. It was quiet, that was the only good thing about it. Definitely misrepresented on Booked.net. the photos looked nice when i booked it, but they must they taken those pictures 20 years ago. I would not recommend this place to anyone . they advertised cable tv. but the tv only had 5 channels. i would never stay there again.
I liked how close it was to the beach and the kitchenette.
The room didn't have a full kitchen like the website said. The website also said it was ocean front and it wasn't. You have to walk across the street through another hotel parking area to get to the beach.
The staff was very friendly and informing.
I have never seen so much mold, dust, and dirt in a hotel before and I've stayed in some interesting places across Europe but at least they tried. 2 toilet paper rolls on wall, because one was broke. Build up of rust from the hinges on the bathroom door. Hair from previous occupants. Layer of dust on refrigerator. Dirty dishes in "kitchenette" and everything felt like grease. Most outlets did not work and the room smelled of mildew. I could go on but I'm sure you get the idea.
It was in close proximity to the beach and away from the central touristy area of Myrtle Beach.
There were two things I didn't like about this place: 1. Everything was really, really old. Carpets, bedding, cabinets, refrigerator, bathroom, TV... everything could use a facelift to not be so grimy. 2. The people who run the place are awkward to be around, and they pop up a lot. It seems to me there is a woman and man who run the place (brother and sister maybe?). The woman has a kid who is about 8 and runs around screaming all day long bothering his mum (who obviously does all the work around town). The man will get you in a conversation right as you arrive and basically rant about various social groups and how they are the downfall of the US.
